Who are we?

The World vs.MS is about making a real difference to the lives of those living with multiple sclerosis (MS) and those who support them. By understanding their challenges, connecting people and driving innovation, our mission is to improve their everyday life.

  • First, we needed to fully understand the challenges faced by those living with MS every day.

So we asked people living with MS, their carers, loved ones and healthcare professionals, to share any challenges they face on a daily basis because of MS – from getting dressed in the morning to cooking dinner in the evening.

  • Together with the help of the MS community, we created three challenge briefs, each detailing a specific daily challenge of living with MS. We then reached out to the world’s brightest brains for ideas to help solve them.

    40 ideas were shared

and then narrowed down to a shortlist of three by our Judging Panel.

It was then over to the world to the vote for the idea they wanted to see become a reality.

Over the following 18 months the inspirational innovator will have access to a grant of up to

Our aim

We want to unite the MS community and give them a platform where their voice counts – to be an active movement that is driven by them, to ensure meaningful and relevant outcomes. But to do this, we also need to reach beyond the MS community, inviting collaboration and ideation from experts in a diverse range of fields, with the right skills and experience to help us drive innovation in MS.

In everything we do, we aim to expose the realities of living with MS and strive to empower everyone it affects by innovating for a better future.
