Last year, we set out on a mission. A mission to change the lives of millions of people living with multiple sclerosis (MS).
We asked the MS community to share their daily challenges of living with the condition. And then, asked innovators, creatives, designers, and anyone inspired to make a difference, for solutions.
After months of scribbling, sketching and head scratching, we received 40 ideas and the world chose 1 winner. BladdeRunner.
BladdeRunner is a mobile app to help those living with MS cope with bladder issues more effectively. Luckily for us, the team behind the idea are documenting the entire development process as they go along. So you can find out the very latest on BladdeRunner, below.
"BladdeRunner is very exciting! I think this is going to be a hugely valuable resource for people with MS."

"This is clearly a solution that could have a great impact on the lives of people with MS."
Dan Smith WIRED
We asked people living with MS, their carers, loved ones and healthcare professionals, to share any challenges they face on a daily basis because of MS – from getting dressed in the morning to cooking dinner in the evening. And they responded by submitting 103 everyday challenges.
Together with the help of the MS community, we created three challenge briefs, each detailing one of the challenges we received . Fernando’s bladder control challenge, Giacomo’s walking challenge and Paula’s temperature challenge. We then reached out to the world’s brightest brains for ideas to help solve them
From 40 ideas submitted, 3 were chosen for a public vote – Ellis’ idea, Joao’s idea and Team TEM’s idea. The world then chose a winner, BladdeRunner. A mobile app that has the potential to make a real and lasting difference to the MS community. And, through our commitment, the commitment of our partners and the winners themselves, we’re working tirelessly to make sure it does.
